This Is Relevant To My Interests
This is maybe embarrassing but I work in online marketing so. So I was poking around OKCupid (yes yes I maintain a profile there, you would be surprised at how many lovely normal hipster people that you know in real life are just wandering around, seriously, I highly recommend!) and came across an ad for Laughing Cow Cheese. And I am like alright I like cheese and I am an online marketer. I will...

All of the best things in my life have come from two sources. Parties. Or mouthing off on the internet.

TEAM INTERNET.
Also at first I thought this said, “Whether or not you had sex on the Internet first,” and I kind of freaked out.

Ehh, Basically All The Same People
So I am basking a bit today in getting credit not once but twice for rocking at my job with the whole LOFT pants “thing” with the Mashable article on how to handle a social media crisis.
But I think my favorite part of the entire thing is how two of the three examples are basically just the same little social group. Not that I am so close with you Young Manhattanite kids, but, you...

Worth reading the entire thing. And I don’t particularly think a great deal about music or music publishing.
Why is it,” I asked Emily, “that women who try anything at all seem to be subjected to unfair amounts of criticism, just for trying! It’s like society is encouraging women not to put themselves out there! What on earth is wrong with trying something and struggling with it, and not...

Every time you here another Conde Nast online strategy fail story you think, the next one will never top this. You are, of course, wrong.
Bawling
So after going out and doing a bit of socializing I am at home watching Carl Sagan’s Contact and I am bawling my eyes out. Just crying and crying and crying. Because it is possible to do good things with good people. And that other good people will step up and recognize.
I love you all.

Pandora is Messing With Me
So I am really trying to have a beast out afternoon because I have some projects that I am really passionate about coming to a head. So don’t laugh but I kind of like to listen to Peaches to stay high energy. But instead its giving me like all kinds of angst boy drama songs. Like first its “Be my Fucking Boyfriend” and then Portishead Glorybox.

My Mother Doesn't Read The Observer
i just have to tell you how proud i am of your drive, good form, self sufficiency, work ethic and common sense and what you have done with your talent i have another hapless lost twentysomething here. shades of [twenty something I once took care of]. inconsiderate, no form, thoughtless, lost, not out of bad intentions but out of…what? what happens to these kids? earbuds too soon? what the...

Zach profiles Lauren Leto (thingsthatscarelaurenleto) at Capital New York.
Let’s examine:
She moved to New York two weeks later, by which time she was dating Foster Kamer, who’d taken a job as a blogger for the Village Voice writing about New York media. Leto was poring over Craigslist looking for an apartment while the two were working in the...

Interior Designers? Home Decor?
I am interested in finding someone that is in the interior design/home decor realm to help me turn my apartment into something that matches the rest of my life. I have exactly zero sense of place or space when it comes to my apartment and could really use a bit of help from someone with interest in the area but maybe not quite an established practice that might be interested in experimenting on...

Oh, why did Cathy Guisewite have to pick this moment to announce she was giving up her “Cathy” comic strip? Who’s going to make sense of these bipolar retailers now?

The Sexiest Person At Whopper Bar
Rob: look at the horroscope for capricorn today
me: what does it say?
Rob: its long
me: I am supposed to be sexy and alluring today but I have no date lined up for tonight so I think this “best day of the month for romance” thing not actually happening somehow.
Rob: you’ll probably be the sexiest person at the Whopper Bar like i was the thinnest person at...

Music From Some Guys in Space!
So I’ve been busy so I am just getting on the internet today but this Justin Bieber slowed down 800% is classic Music From The Hearts of Space stuff. If you aren’t an avid late night NPR listener this might not be familiar but I have very fond memories of driving across the plains at 3am in Colorado listening to this kind of thing (what can I say I really love Holst’s Neptune)....

I actually disagree with this in a really fundamental way. Clothing is probably categorized as plain old stuff and I derive an exceptional amount of happiness from my wardrobe. I would way rather buy clothing than go to a concert...
