Ann's Blog: Tunnel to Towers Run →
anntaylor: Twenty seven Ann associates ran and walked in the Tunnel to Towers Run this morning in New York City. We were inspired to participate in this incredible race by one of our clients Ronda who shared her personal struggle with cancer on our Facebook page earlier this week. Many thanks to Ronda and…

The Burg
So I totally adored the Burg. I’ve never been much of a podcast person but The Burg was always worth watching. So it was with some delight that I discovered that NBC has a primetime show called the chase starring one of the hipsters Kelli Giddish.

How Social Media Has Changed Fashion Week
Lauren pinged me a little over a week ago saying she was doing a piece on the history of social media at fashion week for Mashable. I was the first person she chatted with so my little personal history and narrative for fashion week ended up setting the tone for the piece which was neat. I also don’t sound stupid in any of my quotes. I think. Which is a real relief since I generally think I...

Upside
So I think the one upside to Le Baron coming to my block is that it is going to be a lot easier to get cabs. Thanks Andre Saraiva! Because right now explaining to cabbies how to get in and out of Chinatown is virtually impossible.  Well, I hope he at least makes an effort to be nice to his neighbors. This is also going to be great news for Wo Hop.

Why Can't Print Be More Like The Web?
I feel like singing this to the tune of “Why Can’t A Woman Be More Like A Man” from my fair lady every time I get push back from old school folks on things. Because that is clearly what they are thinking anytime they don’t get something. Was sharing this with a media partner as I have RFPs out (yo Blackbook yours is LATE!!!! I know you follow my Tumblr) and one of them...

BlackBook: This week in pre-production excitement:... →
bbook: David Wain’s Wanderlust just keeps racking up a luscious cornucopia of talent. The film tells the story of a couple that goes broke and then heads from New York to Atlanta, ending up in a commune along the way and stars Paul Rudd and Jennifer Aniston (if we just forget almost everything… Everything about this is win.

youngmanhattanite: There’s a scene in Excalibur where Merlin takes a young Helen Mirren (oh seduction) to a special lair, the coils of the Dragon, where she hopes to learn his powers and the Charm of Making. It is here where all things are possible and all things meet their opposites. Future and past. Desire and regret. Knowledge and oblivion. Looking into the eyes of the Dragon will surely burn...

Everything is great!
Can I just take a moment to say how great everything is right now? Fashion parties are fun again (bumper cars are the only time I advocate drunk driving), Lincoln Center actually works for Fashion Week, Milk helps the smaller designers not waste as much money on idiotic runway shows, the two venues have stopped everyone from doing aggravating off site shows that tire everyone out, Fashion GPS...

Go Ummm Me?
So we didn’t end up giving a quote for this piece (though Leah reached out) but I gotta admit I kind of love where this piece is going with assigning responsibilities a rocking good quarter.  “Ann Taylor, which has struggled to boost sales in recent years, saw a 16% rise in same-store sales for the second quarter of 2010—and many analysts are pointing to the company’s...
