Mind Blowing Labor Department Statistics

So we are working on a visa situation at work and I am mind blown by what are considered average salaries for certain things. Like literally some of them are 50K over what I’ve ever seen for averages. And apparently if you aren’t making that number you can’t legally claim that job title at your place of work? Has anyone else experienced this lunacy?
