Seeking Ruby on Rails Developer

ALLDAYEVERYDAY  (AKA my home away from home agency that is also a proud partner in playAPI)  seeks an NYC-based permanent or freelance Ruby on Rails developer to start immediately. You’d be working on challenging projects for interesting clients, including Nike, ALDO, and The Standard Hotels and of course my baby playAPI!

Ideally, you:
* love details, and pride yourself on getting them right
* believe coding well is more important than coding quickly
* can code quickly anyway
* solve problems methodically, and aren’t afraid to ask for help

Your responsibilities would include:
* working from our SoHo office
* writing clean, well-commented code
* reviewing other people’s code, with the rest of our dev team
* delivering new features on time
* reporting to our Digital Producer and Digital Director

Your qualifications:
* 2-5 years experience with Ruby on Rails, HTML, and CSS
* knowledge and love jQuery, but you could write useful JavaScript without it
* knowledge and love of Heroku
* experience with Git

Extra credit for experience with node.js and Coffeescript. Email your resume to Julie@ALLDAYEVERYDAY.com

Hiring!

Are you a social media manager? A digital strategist? Digital project manager? Or a developer (GOD WILLING). Would you like a job? Come work with me! I’ve got an overload of client work with ALLDAYEVERYDAY not to mention my baby playAPI and we are looking to hire. If you are please email me OK?

Interior Designers? Home Decor?

I am interested in finding someone that is in the interior design/home decor realm to help me turn my apartment into something that matches the rest of my life. I have exactly zero sense of place or space when it comes to my apartment and could really use a bit of help from someone with interest in the area but maybe not quite an established practice that might be interested in experimenting on someone else’s dime. Not that I won’t pay you, I totally will! But you know, maybe want to partner with someone that is looking to develop a portfolio and wouldn’t mind doing something slowly at a flat fee.

I have an evolved wardrobe and a pretty established personal color palette so it isn’t that I am without an aesthetic sense but somehow it just doesn’t translate into putting my home together. Which is a real shame as I have a gorgeous apartment in Chinatown that I have no plans to leave anytime in the near future. Like it is the sort of place that I could stay in till I am 30 (which is still a bit under four years away) and not feel like a failure. It is a two bedroom that is completely refurbished and I have the basics (including a really snazzy couch from Future Perfect) but nothing ties it together. Like I have some seriously bare walls. It has a bit of the “un-established twentysomething” vibe to it which really doesn’t match my mindset or place in life right now.

So if anyone is interested or knows someone that is keen on this sort of work please ping me or reblog this!
